M35 French Linen Coat | 1930s

Thick linen coat with original buttons down the front and attached belt on the back. In 1935, as the French Army expanded its motorcycle-equipped messenger units, it produced this lightweight, windproof overcoat that can be quickly put on over a uniform or leather jacket (hence the side slits to reach the pockets of whatever coat you have underneath).
